9.A. Portrait of a Graduate Presentation.
Discussion:
Executive Director of Secondary Academics Courtney Crosswait shared information on the Portrait of a Graduate work taking place in the district and the "why" driving the work. Portrait of a Graduate is a shared vision that identifies the skills, characteristics, and habits every student needs for success in school, career, and life. Focus Groups with input from parents/guardians. alumni, current students, staff, local businesses, and community partners begin this week. In addition, two Steering Committee meetings are scheduled to create and finalize the draft to be presented to the School Board in April.

13.A.1. Brief Update on Succession Plan Model.
Discussion:
Superintendent Kevin Case shared a brief update with board members on the succession plan model and requested that each one complete the self-evaluation and schedule a rounding with him in the next week, if they have not already done so. This process encourages conversation beyond just checking a box on an evaluation sheet.

Paul Koecher, Associate Board Member, reported that the B-1s are returning to Ellsworth, bringing parents home and beginning an important period of reintegration for families. Ben Frerichs commented that the wellness program is going well. Amy McGovern and Chris Misselt commented on the Portrait of a Graduate process. Tanya Gray stated the audit report was posposed until January. |
